1,3,4-Thiadiazol-2-ol is an organic compound that contains the functional group 1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl. It can be synthesized by reduction of 2-(chloromethyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazolium chloride with potassium hydroxide in methanol.
