Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4-thiomorpholinamine
Thiomorpholin-4-amine is a synthetic compound that can be used as an antioxidant. It has been shown to protect cells from oxidative damage by reacting with peroxides, unsymmetrical, and amines to form thiomorpholine derivatives. Thiomorpholin-4-amine is also capable of protecting the cells from the toxic effects of halides and sodium sulfide. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of peroxide reductase in rat liver mitochondria. This compound can be used as a treatment for triatominae (a type of insect) infections. Thiomorpholin-4-amine reacts with hydrogen peroxide or organic hydroperoxides to form 1,1'-thioacetamide and phenylmercaptan, respectively. These products are less reactive than the original reactant and are responsible for the inhibition of enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase.
