Toluene-4-sulfonic acid oxetan-3-yl ester is a compound that belongs to the group of organic compounds known as sulfonates. It can be used as a solvent and binder in coatings, paints, and varnishes. Toluene-4-sulfonic acid oxetan-3-yl ester has been shown to react with azide ion to form an azido derivative, and is sensitive to glycol ethers, which can cause termination during synthesis. This compound also tends to yield low yields because of the ring opening reaction with elemental analysis.
