Descrizione:
3-Thien-2-ylbenzaldehyde is a corrosion inhibitor that is used as an additive in organic solvents and benzyl. 3-Thien-2-ylbenzaldehyde has been shown to be an effective corrosion inhibitor when used in acetone, ketones, and diphenylethene. The addition of 3-thienylbenzoic acid to these organic solvents inhibits the corrosion of metals by these solvents. 3-Thien-2-ylbenzaldehyde is also used as a reagent for the quaternization of benzyl compounds. It has been shown to inhibit the corrosion of naphthalene by chloride ions.
