Descrizione

D-threo-droxidopa is an amino acid that is found in the human body. It is a prodrug for dopamine, which is converted to dopamine through enzymatic hydrolysis by dopamine β-hydroxylase. D-threo-droxidopa can be administered orally and has been shown to increase blood pressure in patients with hypotension due to inadequate renal function. The drug's long term efficacy has been demonstrated in clinical trials, as well as its safety and tolerability.
