- 2-Trifluoromethyl-nicotinic acid
2-(Trifluoromethyl) nicotinic acid is a metabolite of nicotine. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and is used to treat chronic myeloid leukemia, heart disease, and nerve injury. 2-(Trifluoromethyl) nicotinic acid has been shown to inhibit the inflammatory response by binding to cannabinoid receptors, thereby preventing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines. This compound also inhibits the activity of bcr-abl kinase and c1-6 alkyl (phospholipase C).
