Trimethoxysilane is a polymer matrix with a particle size of about 10 microns. It can be used as an anti-foaming agent, corrosion inhibitor, and anti-deposit control agent in the oil and gas industry. Trimethoxysilane is also used as a chemical stabilizer for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as naproxen sodium and ibuprofen. The optimum concentration of trimethoxysilane is found to be between 0.1% and 1% by weight. This product has been shown to have good chemical stability at high temperatures and high pressures, which makes it suitable for use in deep-water drilling applications.
