Trimethylcyclotrisiloxane is a cyclic silicone with the chemical formula (CH)SiO. It is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and ether and reacts with water to form a viscous solution. Trimethylcyclotrisiloxane has three phenyl groups at the termini of its linear backbone, which give it a high viscosity. The hydroxyl group on the phenyl groups also gives trimethylcyclotrisiloxane some reactivity with sodium carbonate, forming an average particle diameter of 100 nm.
