Tigloyl chloride is a compound that contains a hydroxyl group and a tigloyl group. It is used as an intermediate in the manufacture of taxol, which is used to treat cancer. Tigloyl chloride also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, such as bladder inflammation, or skin cancer. This compound has been shown to inhibit the production of histidine decarboxylase and to have an effect on retronecine esters.
