2-(Trifluoromethyl)trifluorooxirane is a chemical that has a high degree of chemical stability, which makes it suitable for use as a fumigant. It is an alkylating agent that binds to the fatty acid receptor and activates it. 2-(Trifluoromethyl)trifluorooxirane also has the ability to activate receptors by binding to hydroxyl groups on proteins. This chemical is classified as an aminotransferase inhibitor and has been shown to inhibit the activity of this enzyme in mice.
