Descrizione:
Tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-carboxylic acid is a cox inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandins. This drug also inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin-1 beta, which are proinflammatory cytokines. Tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-carboxylic acid has been shown to be effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. It binds to the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) and blocks its activity.
