It is also used as a signal in nanomaterials because it can be detected with electron spin resonance (ESR). This compound has been shown to be cytocompatible and can be used to produce copolymers with glycidyl. 2-[(2,2,2-Trifluoroethoxy)methyl]oxirane is easily copolymerized and does not react with other molecules.
