(T-4)-Trifluoro-3-Thienyl-Borate Potassium (1:1) is a functional group consisting of trifluoro(thienyl)borate, which is an electropolymerizable monomer. This compound also has antioxidant properties and can be used for the synthesis of organic materials that are resistant to oxidative degradation by reactive oxygen species. The compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in vivo. It was found to inhibit the production of acid-reactive substances in mice, as well as serotonin and opioid peptides. This agent also inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells and blocks phosphodiesterase activity.
