Descrizione

Vinyloxyethyl amine is a functional group that reacts with hydroxyl groups to produce reaction products. The optimal reaction occurs at a temperature of 100 °C. This compound is used as a monomer in cationic polymerization reactions and has been shown to be an active substance in the synthesis of polyacrylamide and polyvinyl alcohol. Vinyloxyethyl amine can be synthesized by the reaction between allylamine and mercaptoacetic acid. The reactant is heated at 220 °C for two hours, which causes the release of chloride gas. It is soluble in water, methanol, and ethanol. The molecular weight ranges from 153-154 g/mol.
