- Wilfortrin
Wilfortrine is a natural compound that belongs to the class of fructus. It has been shown to be an effective cancer treatment, with synergic effects in the treatment of tumors. Wilfortrine inhibits tumor growth and spread by binding to the IL-2 receptor and inhibiting its activation. The acetate extract of Wilfortrine has been shown to have immunomodulatory effects in human serum, which may be due to its ability to induce antibody response. The pharmacokinetics study on mice showed that Wilfortrine is metabolized rapidly, with a half-life of about 30 minutes for rats and 10 hours for humans. This drug also has a matrix effect on cancer tissues and induces apoptosis in cancer cells.
