Phenylhydrazine is a chemical compound that inhibits the enzyme phosphodiesterase (PDE) and disrupts the formation of cAMP. This inhibition leads to an increase in intracellular levels of cAMP, which are responsible for the activation of protein kinase A and protein kinase C.
