Descrizione:
1,5-Diacetoxypentane (1,5-DA) is a lachrymator that has been used for the detection of halogenated hydrocarbons. 1,5-DA is an excellent solvent for detergent compositions and can be used to remove human pathogens from surfaces. It has shown effectiveness against hydrogen bond and aldehydes in coatings. 1,5-DA is also used as a reagent for acetylation of diacetate, which can be detected by patterning or detection methods such as gas chromatography.
