Chroman-8-carboxylic acid is a phenolic compound that has biological activity. It is found in many plants, including crop plants like sugarcane and rice. Chroman-8-carboxylic acid can be isolated from the tannins of these plants, as well as from the bark of trees such as oak and chestnut.
