N-Cyclohexyl-4-chloroaniline is a chemical compound that is used as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals. It can be synthesized by reductive amination of cyclohexanol with nitroethane and formaldehyde, or by the reaction of 4-chlorobutyronitrile with cyclohexanol. The product can be used for other purposes such as the synthesis of nylon 6,6. N-Cyclohexyl-4-chloroaniline can be immobilized on spherical particles to improve its stability and yields. Immobilization also allows for reuse and prevents waste materials from entering the environment. It has been shown that this process has synergistic effects when combined with other techniques such as filtration and liquid phase reactions.
