Methyl Calcein Blue Hydrate is a fluorescent indicator used in complexometry. It is a tripeptide that can be used to detect and measure peptide hormones, such as angiotensin and 4-methylumbelliferone. Methyl Calcein Blue Hydrate has been used as an optical sensor to identify glucose concentrations in blood samples. It also fluoresces when in contact with the analyte and can be measured using a fluorometer.
