5-(Aminomethyl)quinolin-8-ol is a bioactive molecule that consists of a quinoline ring with an amine group at the 8 position. It has been used in analytical chemistry and microscopy as well as in simulations to determine the electron transport properties. The adsorption of 5-(aminomethyl)quinolin-8-ol on metal surfaces has been analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin isotherms. The fluorescence properties of 5-(aminomethyl)quinolin-8-ol have been studied by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). This molecule also exhibits acidic properties and can be synthesized using hydrochloric acid.
