Informazioni sul prodotto
3-Methylsulfinylphenylboronic acid is a boronic acid that binds to multidrug transporters and prevents the uptake of drugs into cells. It is a potent inhibitor of the human multidrug transporter (P-glycoprotein) and has been shown to have antimalarial activity in vitro against strains of Plasmodium falciparum. 3-Methylsulfinylphenylboronic acid also inhibits the uptake of drugs by cyclooxygenase, which is an enzyme that converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. 3-Methylsulfinylphenylboronic acid prevents dehydration by binding to ligands and forming a complex with them, which can then be centrifuged off.
