Informazioni sul prodotto
(2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)methanol is a compound that interacts with the 5-HT1A receptor, which is a subtype of serotonin receptor. It has been shown to have an affinity for the 5-HT1A receptor and can be used as a 5-HT1A receptor antagonist. The compound has been shown to inhibit adenylyl cyclase activity and also interact with this enzyme. (2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)methanol has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of cyclic AMP production in membranes when used at high concentrations. This drug also inhibits the binding of 8-OHDPAT, a synthetic compound, to the 5HT1A receptor and can be used in assays to examine the effects of drugs on 5HT1A receptors. (2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)methanol also binds selectively to membranes and inhibits cyclase activity.
