- 6-(4-Benzylpiperidin-1-Yl)-5-({3-[2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)Ethyl]-4-Oxo-2-Thioxo-1,3-Thiazolidin-5-Ylidene}Methyl)-1,4-Dimethyl-2-Oxo-1,2-Dihydropyridine-3-Carbonitrile
Sodium 4-nitrophenylacetate (4NPA) is a reactive intermediate used in the synthesis of polycarbonates, benzyl, and polyethers. It is a colorless liquid that can be purified by distillation at temperatures below 50 °C. Its spectra are characteristic of an aromatic compound with a phenylacetic acid group. 4NPA reacts with chloroform to form pyridine and yield yields of 10%. 4NPA also undergoes cyclization reactions with pyrylium salts to form ring structures that can be solvated by solvents such as pyridine.
