Cyclopentyltriphenylphosphonium bromide is a fluorinated quaternary ammonium salt that has been shown to act as an inhibitor of the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. This compound has shown potential in treating inflammatory diseases such as insulin resistance, which is characterized by inflammation of tissues.
