Informazioni sul prodotto
- 6-Nitro-2,3-diphenyl-quinoxaline
- Quinoxaline, 6-nitro-2,3-diphenyl-
2,3-Diphenyl-6-nitroquinoxaline is a heterocyclic compound that contains a pyrrole ring. It was prepared by reacting 2,3-diphenyl-6-nitrobenzoxazole with isobutyl chloroformate and hydrochloric acid. The reaction system was heated to 140°C for six hours under reflux conditions. Optical properties of this compound were investigated using nmr spectroscopy and the results indicated that both the chlorine atoms had an electron density on the same side of the molecule. The chloride ligands can be removed from this compound in a reusable manner by reacting it with potassium metal in liquid ammonia at 0°C to produce 2,3-diphenylquinoxaline.
