1,3-Divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisilazane is a viscosity additive that belongs to the class of polymerized silazanes. The polymerization reaction between silicon and azide groups in 1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisilazane creates a network of crosslinks between molecules that have reactive groups on their surfaces. This can be used as a crosslinker for epoxy resins and polyurethane adhesives. It is also used as an additive to increase the viscosity of silicone oils or fluids.
