Informazioni sul prodotto
- Phenanthrene, 9-Ethynyl-
9-Ethynylphenanthrene is a molecule that inhibits the enzyme 7-ethoxycoumarin o-deethylase, which is involved in the metabolism of aromatic hydrocarbons. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on rat liver microsomes and is selective for this enzyme over other enzymes involved in the metabolism of aromatic hydrocarbons. The inhibition study showed that 9-ethynylphenanthrene can be used as a model system to study homotropic cooperativity and kinetic reactions in drug metabolism. This compound also inhibits estradiol production in Sprague-Dawley rats when administered orally.
