- Officinalisnin I
Officinalisinin I is a steroid that has been shown to have antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It also has been found to be effective in the treatment of sexual dysfunction. The compound was isolated from the root bark of officinalis trees in China and has been shown to have the same effects as tadalafil and sildenafil. Officinalisinin I binds to opioid receptors in the brain and blocks pain signals from being sent to the brain, which may be responsible for its anti-diabetic properties. It also inhibits the breakdown of endocannabinoids, leading to increased levels of cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
