Informazioni sul prodotto
Methyl 3-(3-methylphenyl)prop-2-enoate is a coumarin derivative that is an active inhibitor of phospholipase A2. It has been shown to inhibit the production of cytosolic Ca2+ in a model system. Methyl 3-(3-methylphenyl)prop-2-enoate may also be a signal pathway activator, as it binds to and inhibits the activity of 4-hydroxycinnamic acid. This compound has insecticidal activity and is used as an antiinflammatory agent. It also has DNA binding and dna cleavage activities, which may be useful for treating cancer cells. Methyl 3-(3-methylphenyl)prop-2-enoate is structurally related to nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as cyclooxygenase inhibitors, and caffeic acids.
