5-Propylpyrazole-3-carboxamide is an anticancer drug that belongs to the pyrazole family of drugs. It inhibits cancer cell growth by binding to the enzyme telomerase, which is involved in DNA replication and repair. 5-Propylpyrazole-3-carboxamide has been shown to have potent antiproliferative activity and inhibitory effects on tumor growth in vitro. This compound also binds to the telomerase enzyme, leading to a decrease in telomerase activity and a reduction of DNA synthesis. The antitumor effects of 5-propylpyrazole-3-carboxamide are mediated through its ability to inhibit telomerase activity.
