Informazioni sul prodotto
(S)-2-Phenylpropanal is a chiral molecule that can be synthesized by accessing the enantiomer of 2-phenoxyethanol. The nitroalkane, nitroethane, is used as a catalyst to form this compound. (S)-2-Phenylpropanal is an efficient synthetic intermediate for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. This compound has been shown to be an excellent substrate for formate dehydrogenase with a kinetic rate constant of 1.1x10^4 M-1s-1 at 25 °C and pH 7.0. It also has no deactivation or stabilization effects on the enzyme's activity, which makes it an excellent candidate for industrial applications.
