(E)-2-Ethylhexyl 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylate is a chemical compound that has been shown to be an excellent sunscreen. It protects the skin from UV radiation and prevents the formation of skin cancer. This compound is used in analytical methods to measure the concentration of methanol in a sample, as well as in wastewater treatment. (E)-2-Ethylhexyl 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylate can also be used for photosynthetic activity and solid phase microextraction. The compound has been shown to be stable, even at high temperatures, and does not undergo hydrolysis or oxidation with air or water. It can also be used for molecular docking analysis with zirconium oxide particles.
