It blocks the degradation of proteins by inhibiting the activity of metalloproteases, which are enzymes involved in protein degradation. The inhibition of these enzymes results in reduced proliferation and even cell death. N-Cyclohexyl-N-methylsulfamoyl chloride also inhibits bacterial proliferation by blocking the synthesis of DNA and RNA, leading to cell death.
