4-Aminooxane-4-carboxamide is a degradative enzyme inhibitor that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as pulmonary disease and chronic inflammatory syndrome. 4-Aminooxane-4-carboxamide inhibits cathepsin by binding to the active site of the enzyme and blocking its catalytic activity.
