Informazioni sul prodotto
- Pyridine, 4-(cyclohexylmethyl)-
- 4-(Cyclohexylmethyl)pyridine
4-Cyclohexylmethyl-pyridine is a potent inducer of the cytochrome P450 enzyme, which is involved in the metabolism of many drugs and environmental chemicals. This drug has been shown to inhibit microsomal drug metabolism, thereby increasing the blood concentration of certain drugs. 4-Cyclohexylmethyl-pyridine can also be used as an antifungal agent against dermatophytes. It binds to the aromatic groups on the surface of fungi and inhibits protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes. The conformational change induced by binding causes a break in the peptide bond between amino acids, preventing protein synthesis and cell division.
