Informazioni sul prodotto
2-Chloro-5-methoxybenzenethiol is a furan derivative that is used as an antibiotic. It inhibits the growth of bacteria and has a broad spectrum of activity, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. 2-Chloro-5-methoxybenzenethiol binds to tetracycline, which is an antibiotic and inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria by blocking the ribosome. This drug also has protonation properties that allow it to react with other molecules, such as hydrogen peroxide to form hydrogen peroxide and 2-chloro-5-methoxybenzenesulfonic acid. The sulfonic acid then reacts with catalytic metals to form hydrogen gas and water, which are products of this reaction.
