Informazioni sul prodotto
2,6-Bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-(2-thienylseleno)phenol is a peptide used as a research tool and an inhibitor of ion channels in the cell membrane. It blocks voltage-gated sodium and calcium channels, inhibiting the influx of ions into the cell. This inhibition leads to relaxation of smooth muscle cells and reduction in neurotransmitter release. 2,6-Bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-(2-thienylseleno)phenol is also a ligand for benzodiazepine receptors that can bind to proteins such as GABA A receptors and glycine receptors.
