Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is a myristylated pentapeptide that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is a part of the FOLIUM ARTEMISIAE EXTRACT, which has been found to increase hair thickness by stimulating follicles. Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is an amino acid sequence that can be synthesized in a solid phase synthesis. This peptide is also used in nutritional supplements for women who are undergoing menopause and are experiencing hot flashes or hair loss. A tolerability study was conducted on 16 healthy female volunteers with no medical history of allergy to formaldehyde or other preservatives, including hyaluronate and vitamin B1.
