Informazioni sul prodotto
4-(tert-Butyl)-2,6-dibromoaniline is a boronate compound that has been used as a model compound for the synthesis of polymers. It is soluble in organic solvents and reacts with styrene to produce polystyrene. The yield of this reaction can be improved by the use of boron trifluoride etherate as a catalyst. In cross-coupling reactions, 4-(tert-Butyl)-2,6-dibromoaniline can react with phenol to form biphenyl. Polycondensation reactions between 4-(tert-Butyl)-2,6-dibromoaniline and pyridine produce a tetramer. Dimers are formed when two molecules of 4-(tert-butyl)-2,6-dibromoaniline combine.
The average molecular weight of these dimers is 940 g/mol.
