Informazioni sul prodotto
Diquat dipyridone is a herbicide that inhibits the growth of plants by inhibiting electron transport in photosynthesis. It has been shown to be an active ingredient for the control of weeds in rice fields, and is most effective when applied to the soil before planting. Diquat dipyridone is also used as a pesticide for weed control in crops such as cotton and soybeans. Diquat dipyridone can be detected using a UV detector, fluorescence detector, or liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. It has been found that the reaction products between diquat dipyridone and other pesticides are cytotoxic to cells. The residues of this compound are detectable in foodstuffs by high-performance liquid chromatography with ionization mass spectrometry or ion mobility spectrometry. Radiation will degrade diquat dipyridone into dihydrodipyrido-dithiocarbamate (DPDTC), which is more toxic
