Suberylglycine is a carnitine analog that has antimicrobial activity. It can be used as a therapeutic for metabolic disorders, such as type 2 diabetes and fatty acid metabolism disorder. Suberylglycine has been shown to inhibit the production of amyloid protein, which is involved in the development of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. This drug also inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to fatty acids on their surface membrane. Suberylglycine has been shown to have excellent diagnostic properties when used with monoclonal antibodies or polyclonal antibodies. This drug may be used in diagnosis, detection sensitivity, and sample preparation for glomerular filtration rate measurement.
