Informazioni sul prodotto
4-Bromo-6-chloronicotinic acid (4-BClNA) is a useful intermediate in the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals. It is typically prepared by reacting benzyl chloride with trifluoroacetic anhydride in the presence of aluminum chloride. The reaction is catalyzed by tert-butyl nitrite and ammonium nitrate. The bromine atom can be substituted with other halogens to produce 4-chloronicotinic acid, 4-bromonicotinic acid, or 6-bromonicotinic acid. This synthetic method has been used on an industrial scale for the production of nitrites.
