Tetrakis(4-methoxyphenyl)-21H,23H-porphine iron(III) chloride is a supramolecular compound that has been synthesized by thermally activated techniques. This compound has a molecular structure that consists of two chiral porphyrin ligands and a central metal ion (iron). This molecule has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for the oxidation of organic substrates in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
