Informazioni sul prodotto
- 3-Chloro-4,6-dinitrobenzoicacid
5-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzoic acid (CDBA) is a prodrug that is converted to the active form by nitroreductase. It inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting DNA synthesis and protein synthesis through the inhibition of RNA polymerase and DNA gyrase, respectively. CDBA has been shown to exhibit cytotoxicity in vitro as well as in vivo, with an IC50 of 1 microM against E. coli when used at a concentration of 10 microM. CDBA has also been shown to inhibit the production of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) in macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
