N-Benzyl-2-chloro-9-isopropyl-9H-purin-6-amine is a potential antitumor agent that has been shown to have bifunctional activity. It is a water soluble molecule that can be used as an anticancer drug by conjugating with other molecules such as cisplatin. N-Benzyl-2-chloro-9-isopropyl-9H-purin 6 amine has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This drug has also been shown to be effective against bladder and prostate cancer cells, and mononuclear leukemia cells.
