Informazioni sul prodotto
Fiboflapon is a fatty acid that has been shown to be an eosinophilic and epidermal growth factor (EGF) inhibitor. Fiboflapon inhibits the release of eosinophils, which are white blood cells that play a role in allergic reactions, by binding to EGF receptors on the surface of eosinophils. Fiboflapon has also been shown to inhibit the production of fatty acids in skin cells, which may be due to its two-way crossover into a tautomeric state. This drug was statistically shown to have relevance for asthma treatment in a clinical study involving two-way crossover with a group of patients. Fiboflapon's ability to inhibit particle aggregation may make it useful as a model system for studying protein-induced aggregation.
