Informazioni sul prodotto
Pcs1055 is a peptide that activates ion channels. It is purified from the venom of the spider Phoneutria nigriventer and is used as a research tool for studying ion channels. Pcs1055 enhances the binding of calcium ions to voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCC) by stabilizing the open state of these channels, which leads to increased levels of intracellular calcium. This effect on VGCCs has been shown to be dependent on receptor interactions and ligand binding. Pcs1055 has also been shown to inhibit protein interactions in vitro, such as those between phospholipases A2 and B2, and their respective substrates, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine.
