Descrizione

Quercetin 3-b-D-glucopyranoside is a flavonoid that has been shown to have biological properties in vitro. Quercetin is a potent inhibitor of histamine release from mast cells and inhibits the activity of phosphodiesterase IV, which may be involved in the pathophysiology of allergic symptoms. It also has hypoglycemic effect and quercetin 3-b-D-glucopyranoside has been shown to inhibit myocardial infarct size by blocking platelet aggregation. In vitro assays have shown that quercetin 3-b-D-glucopyranoside prevents atherosclerotic lesion formation in coronary artery smooth muscle cells by inhibiting cell proliferation and migration. Quercetin 3-b-D-glucopyranoside also possesses antiinflammatory activity and can inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNFα and IL1β, which
