Informazioni sul prodotto
- Carbonicacid, benzyl methyl ester (6CI,7CI,8CI)
Benzyl methyl carbonate is a product of the reaction between benzyl chloride and methanol. This compound is activated by UV radiation, which causes hydrolysis to form a carbonyl group. It is used as an intermediate in the production of hydroxamic acids and has been shown to be effective in treating fruit trees with amine-related diseases. Benzyl methyl carbonate is not soluble in water but can react with strong bases such as sodium hydroxide to form an electrolyte solution.
